Audi Q3 Review

Overview:

Audi wanted to refresh their aged Q3 to draw more attention and hence the 2015 Q3 came into existence with some fresh new breeze.

Audi The Audi Q3 was unveiled back in the year 2011 in the European market and just like its siblings Q5 and Q7 the Q3 also owned its share of success in the markets worldwide. The Q3 is precisely a successful product in the Indian market mostly because of its compact size, shape and comfortable feature packed interior and Audi has also launched a couple of new and exciting trims for Q3 in India.

Performance:

As of now, Audi Q3 is available with one TFSI and 2 TDI engines in India while the same SUV is available with plenty of engine options for the European market. Audi declares that the updated engine generates more power while at the same time with reduced CO2 emission. Audi did not declare what engines are they bringing to India but they will most probably will bring the updated 2.0 Litre TFSI engine which now generates an impressive 217 Bhp of peak power and 280 Nm of torque while the other 2.0 Litre TDI engine previous used to generate about 138 Bhp of peak power but now the same engine produces about 181 Bhp of peak power and 380 Nm of torque.

The 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine also features Audi’s Quattro all drive system, Audi claims that the engines are more refined and also consumes less fuel. The petrol engine will most probably equip with the seven-speed dual clutch gearbox while the diesel engine will too feature the same 7-speed gearbox as well.

Build & Styling:

This Vehicle comes only with a little refinement as compared to its predecessor. The Q3 gets a completely new steering wheel, instrument cluster and with the latest and updated MMI system it also gets the Audi connect system via which one can easily connect with the outside world. The front electronically adjustable seats of the Q3 are spacious and comfortable and also give the driver a good view of the road ahead. And at the same time, it is comfortable for even 3 passengers at the rear also.

The 2015 Q3’s front grille comes with solid chrome surrounds which are clearly visible from a farther distance. The headlamp units look a bit sharper than the older units and are surrounded by LED daytime running lamps, the 2015 Q3 now comes with Xenon headlamps as standard while the top end variant gets the LED headlamp units which surely provides an impressive illumination during the night. The lower bumper looks more aggressive because it comes with bigger air intakes.

Towards the side, it looks as similar as that of the previous, however, Audi has fitted newly designed wheels to the SUV. Towards the rear, the distinct sloping coupe like the roof and the sporty spoiler adds to the zing of the Q3. Towards the rear also you will find the LED tail lamps which get a different lighting pattern while taking a closer look and you will also notice that the rear bumpers also has been redesigned for the 2015 Q3.
